NGEMC scholarship application deadline Jan. 31

The deadline to apply for two scholarships available through North Georgia EMC is Tuesday, Jan. 31. Applications for the Walter Harrison Scholarship and the Howard Baker Memorial Scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year are now available here. Applications for both scholarships are also available at your high school's counselor's office.

Beware of utility imposters, scam artists

North Georgia EMC urges our members to be cautious of thieves posing as utility workers. Reports from a neighboring utility in Tennessee suggest that scam artists have been in the area impersonating utility employees and trying to charge residents for made-up services that aren't needed or requested by the resident. New meter technology to increase efficiency
