Members seeking 24/7 payment options that will post immediately to their accounts are encouraged to use one of the options listed below.
Automatic & Paperless
Bank Draft
Pay your bill automatically each month from your checking account. You still receive a bill ahead of time denoting the amount that will be drafted on the due date.
E-Bill Benefits
Receive notification on the bill date. No paper, no waste.
E-bill is a free option for any NGEMC customer interested in receiving and reviewing their electric bill securely over the Internet. Using E-bill, you will receive an E-bill notification on the bill date.
- 24-Hour Access: Your statement will be sent to your email and will be available to you anytime, day or night.
- Record Keeping: You can store and access your statement on your computer’s hard drive for future reference and retrieve past statements through our online secure server.
- Environmentally Friendly: E-bill eliminates paper billing and the resources it takes to make and deliver your bill each month.
Billing Programs
Levelized Billing
Makes amounts predictable based on a rolling average of the current and previous 11-month period. Amounts fluctuate slightly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- NGEMC member for 12 months at same address
- Zero balance
- Account must stay current
Budget Billing
Payment set at same amount for 12 months based on average usage. 12th month is used to calculate standard bill payment for the following year.

Set An Arrangement
Customers may choose to defer a portion of their power bill payment for up to 14 days using the automated phone system and online Member Service Portal, 24/7. The process is quick, confidential, and available with no questions asked.

Payment Kiosks
Touchscreen stations accepting cash, card, and check. Change is not given; instead, a bill credit is applied. Payments post immediately.

Pay utility bills at Walmart Service Desks. Portal and phone payments are NOT available for UCard.

Common Questions
Eligibility: Residential homes with standard-size electronic meters. Commercial and CT meters are not eligible.
Disconnection: Immediate disconnection occurs when balance reaches $0. To reconnect, pay amount to secure a $25 credit balance. No reconnect fee required.
Monthly Bill: Because you pick the amount and pay ahead, you will NOT receive a monthly bill. Monitor usage daily via Portal.
IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES
Payment by Check: By providing a check, you authorize North Georgia EMC to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer (EFT) or to process as a check transaction. Funds may be withdrawn as soon as the same day and you will not receive your check back.
